Skinny Ties Return To Popularity On The Mad Men Show
Mad Men is not just a phenomona on the AMC channel, the fabulous vintage skinny neckties seen on the show have become a major trend in today's fashion. The Mad Men television show takes place in the beginning of the 60's when thin ties were the most popular. Now hollywood parties every night are showcasing the biggest male actors capturing the fashion and even modern designers are perusing the show for inspiration on classic ties. For men who wants to master this look, remember today's thin neckties should have a modern look.
The Best Time to Wear Thin Ties:
Skinny or classic ties are such an up and coming trend, since they can be dressed up or down depending on the situation and the sense of style of the wearer. Plus, if you want to add a aura of modern style you couldn't do better than skinny neckties.
For busy men, a patterned, all purpose suit or patterned shirt can be paired with a mono colored vintage mens ties. Keep the look professional by picking a tie that is a bit thinner than usual, creating the projection of confidence and authority. Make sure the color is also not too bright which can cause the look to be too much for the office.
A skinny necktie combined with a traditional black suit and white button down shirt is a look that never goes out of style that is perfect for a black tie affair. For a lighter look, a skinny necktie can also be combined with a cotton shirt and a vest. To create a fun and comfortable look, push up the sleeves on a long sleeved shirt or go with short sleeves and add a striped or bold colored patterned narrow tie.
Though thin neckties look special, their small size means they are not always a great look for larger men. Buff, muscular men will feel more pulled together with a normal width necktie.
