Motorola Xoom Accessories
For those in the market for an Android tablet, the Motorola Xoom is easily one of the most popular choices. And that’s saying quite a lot since there is no shortage of great options available. There are many reasons why consumers are flocking to the Xoom, such as its stunning 10.1-inch capacitive screen and the diverse array of Motorola Xoom accessories on the market. Finding an accessory like a case, a portable Motorola Xoom charger or an extended Motorola Xoom battery is a simple and joyful process. The selection is great and so are the prices. But in this article, we’re going to focus on screen protectors.
The Xoom’s 10.1-inch screen is a focal point and selling point. The screen is also the one thing on the tablet that we end up abusing the most. Why? Well, when you think about, everything we do on the Motorola Xoom has to do with the screen. We touch it with our fingers or use a stylus pen in order to operate the software. While it doesn't seem much at the time, the abuse eventually adds up. One of the steps that we take to prevent this abuse is installing a screen protector. But screen protectors for tablets are tricky. They have to be transparent in all facets. You shouldn’t be able to see them or feel them while you’re interacting with the screen.
An extremely popular option is the clear film-style screen protector. These protectors are available in both universal and precut shapes. If you buy a universal screen protector, you'll save a bit of money, but you have to do a little work to cut the film yourself. The nice thing about film is that it’s extremely clear and the thickness is negligible. So once you have it on, it’s almost like there isn’t anything there at all. The downside is that you have to put it on yourself, which intimidates some users. The good news is that installation is surprisingly simple and not worth fretting over. You will find that many companies will include a squeegee with their screen protectors.
Another popular screen protector is the faceplate-style, such as the face skin from Skinomi or the Invisible Shield by ZAGG. What you’ll like most about this style is how sturdy it is. Most companies, like those listed here, even provide lifetime warranties due to that long-lasting durability. These shields also do an excellent job of repelling fingerprints, and they have a self-healing quality that gets rid of most minor scratches. The downside to these shields is the added thickness, which affects fingertip touch for some people.
A step up from the faceplate style is the body glove or body skin. The gloves and skins still have the disadvantages of thickness and glare. But the benefit is that they provide the protection, self-healing capabilities and fingerprint repelling to the back and sides of the Xoom as well as the screen. These are pretty much like cases, minus the bulk. Consumers should note that shield-style protectors are also available in universal configurations, but the average consumer will want to avoid them.
motorola razr battery or charger bad?
last night i plugged in my razr and it started charging but as soon as i put it down it stopped. and tried wiggling it and plugging and unplugging it, the phone still wouldn't charge. it sometimes kicks on but when i put it down it stops charging. is this bcuz the battery is bad(HOW CAN I TELL) or is it the charger(HOW CAN I TELL)?
Need some answers please and thank you!
P.S. buying a new phone is not an option for me.
No phone insurance.
The batteries that came with the Razors have had issues. You should take it to a store for troubleshooting. A new battery will probably run about $40.00 and a charger about $30.
6 Things Gadget-Savvy Travelers Pack (inc)
A streamlined packing list that won't sacrifice your ability to get things
done on the road.
If you're a bona fide road warrior, you already know to wear slip-on shoes and
consolidate your clothes into a carry-on bag to minimize time spent in lines.
But there are more ways to streamline your business travel packing. Here's how
to lighten your gadget load without sacrificing your ability to get work done.
**1. Use a super-thin notebook**
One of the best tips for modern business travel is to skip the heavy, thick
notebook you might normally use in the office. New models like the MacBook Air
are even thinner and lighter than before, yet they use the latest Intel Core
processor to run apps fast. Light-as-air notebooks are also bigger than a
netbook, which means they have a larger (and longer lasting) internal battery.
**2. Get a back-up battery charger**
Back-up chargers like the Kensington PowerLift make perfect sense for the
frequent traveller. The device itself charges in a few hours. Then, when you
run out of juice on your phone, tablet, or notebook, you can connect up to the
back-up battery for extended use. Not all back-up ...
